Health and Safety Guidelines

South Georgia Tormenta FC is excited for competitive action following the approval of USL League One's framework for returning to play in 2020, and the club and its fans should use the following protocols as we prepare to offer soccer activities.

By purchasing your ticket to any Tormenta FC game, you acknowledge the guidelines that are set forth by the club and the State of Georgia. If you choose not to follow these rules, Tormenta FC is not to be held responsible for any personal illness or injury. Please follow the links below if you have any questions about these guidelines.

Tormenta FC values the continued support of its fans and will always put the health and safety of everyone as the highest priority. The club will continue to follow the guidance of the local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in regards to upcoming games at Erk Russell Park in Statesboro, Georgia, and will update this page with additional safety and health information, as needed

  • The club recommends all fans purchase tickets in advance online or via the official Tormenta FC app.
  • TFC is considering a temporal artery thermometer to be used on every individual before entrance into Erk Russell Park. The infrared scanner would check your temperature by having a sensor measure the heat coming from your forehead. Should any individual have a temperature of more than 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, which is considered a symptom of COVID-19, they would not be allowed entrance into the stadium.
  • Following Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp's executive order, fans are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while attending all 2020 Tormenta FC home matches.
  • In-stadium traffic will be assisted by staff to avoid fan congregation and help with physical distancing.
  • Tormenta FC requests all fans not to touch balls that leave the field of play. Staff must sanitize the game balls before they return to play.
  • Tormenta FC is planning to create a physically distanced seat map that will ensure there is a six foot radius around each fan or group of fans seated together.
  • The club strongly recommends fans bring no cash to the stadium and use card ONLY at concession and merchandise stands. Merch can also be purchased online and picked up at the match.

  • In conjunction with Georgia Southern University, Erk Russell Park will undergo a thorough cleaning and sanitization process prior to and immediately following every Tormenta FC match.
  • Bathrooms and common areas will be cleaned during each match.
  • Bathroom doors will be propped open to avoid touching by fans and staff.
  • Fans will be asked to enter and exit through specific gates ahead of the match.
  • Markers will be placed in concession lines and in the team store to promote physically distancing while fans wait to be checked out.

  • All employees will complete a health screening prior to each home game, including a temperature check. If any employee is feeling unwell, they will not be allowed to report to the facility.
  • All stadium staff will wear masks at all times.
  • Sanitizing stands will be placed around Eagle Field for fans and staff to use regularly.
  • All concession staff will wear gloves.
  • Food and beverage staff will be required to wash their hands regularly throughout their shift.
