Defender of the Year Conner Antley Signs with Indy Eleven
First Player from an Independent League One Team to move up to USL Championship

Defender of the Year Conner Antley has signed with USL Championship team Indy Eleven for the 2020 season. Antley is the first player from an independent USL League One Team to move up to USL Championship. During his 2019 standout rookie season with Tormenta, Antley notched 6 goals, 6 assists and 34 chances created while leading the team in interceptions, tackles won and aerials.

"We are happy for Conner as he takes the next step in his career,” Tormenta FC head coach John Miglarese said. “He has worked hard for this opportunity, and the club is excited to watch his next chapter unfold."

This signing exemplifies the club’s continued focus on player development. Antley began with Tormenta 2, the club’s amateur side, in 2018 before making the jump to the club’s professional USL League One team.

“Indy Eleven really checked all the boxes for me,” Antley said. “After speaking to Coach Rennie I got the feeling that Indianapolis is a great city and that I would be on a team that is going to compete for a championship every year, and that is important to me. I look forward to contributing myself and helping this team bring some championships to Indy.”
