COLUMBIA, Sc. – South Georgia Tormenta FC’s USL Academy Girls team took on SC United Bantams today in Columbia, South Carolina, where South Georgia was defeated 0-5. The match showcased the young local talent around South Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Despite a valiant effort, the team fell short against a formidable opponent, highlighting the competitive nature of the league.
Tormenta FC goalkeeper Kamryn Martinez was able to impress throughout 90 minutes. With several crucial saves, the goalkeeper had several one-on-one chances that Martinez handled without hesitation.
Tormenta FC’s USL Academy Girls team is set to take on Chattanooga Red Wolves SC from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium next Thursday, June 1, at 3:30 p.m. ET
