PAPILLION, Neb. – South Georgia Tormenta FC suffered its seventh loss of the season tonight against Union Omaha in Papillion, Nebraska. Midfielder Kingsford Adjei returned to action after several weeks of inactivity due to injury.
Despite better ball control in the first half with 51% possession, South Georgia conceded two goals right before the halftime whistle, despite displaying a solid defensive performance for the majority of the opening 45 minutes.
South Georgia was unable to get on the goal sheet tonight as its efforts were thwarted as they struggled to convert any of their opportunities into goals.
Following Saturday’s match, Tormenta FC plays its first midweek game of the season as it receives the visit of Forward Madison, which will visit Tormenta Stadium for the first time in 2023 on Wednesday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium.
