Tormenta FC 2 Shuts Out Discoveries SC 4-0
Tormenta FC 2 continues to dominate the Deep South Division with a shutout win against Discoveries SC 4-0 and eight goals scored in their first two games.
Discoveries Sc was no match for Tormenta 2 who rarely gave up possession tonight and recorded seven shots on goal to Discoveries’ one. On his debut start for Tormenta 2, JJ Donnelly kicked things off in the twelfth minute with the first goal of the night, assisted by Adrian Billhardt. Just before halftime, Tormenta’s momentum continued as Curtis Thorn sent a ball to Austrian forward Luca Mayr who then scored his third goal of the season.
In the second half, Andres Flores and James Meehan both found the back of the net in the seventy-fourth and ninetieth minutes with Luca Mayr assisting the two goals. This brings Mayr, tonight’s Powerade Player of the Match, to three goals and two assists so far this season.
Tormenta FC 2 will now travel to play Peachtree City on Friday, May 24 for the second time this season after defeating them 4-0 at home last week.
