Tormenta FC Suffers a 3-0 Loss to Toronto FC II on the Road
Tormenta FC traveled over 1005 miles to face Toronto FC II tonight. Sitting fifth in the standings, Toronto FC II fought hard to pull itself into a top 4 playoff spot in the USL League One standings and succeeded with a 3-0 shutout. The playoff race continues to tighten as Tormenta FC keeps its second place spot with one game in hand.
Nil Vinyals started the attack off early for Tormenta in the 3rd minute with a right-footed shot on goal that went just too far right. The rest of the match, Tormenta recorded 16 shots but wasn’t able to follow through with any of them.
Toronto FC II capitalized on its chances the rest of the match with three goals from Matthew Srbely, Jordan Perruzza and Patrick Bunk-Andersen.
