Tormenta FC Welcomes Lansing’s Aaron Cranford as Director of Marketing
Aaron Cranford has officially been named Director of Marketing for Tormenta FC ahead of the club’s second professional season after serving as Communications Manager for Lansing Ignite FC in 2019. Cranford will manage all digital media and marketing for the entire franchise, from the first team to the academy.
“Tormenta FC has been a first-class organization since its founding in 2015, so I am thrilled to join the family ahead of the 2020 season,” Cranford said. “The team has accomplished numerous accolades on the field and has been an active member of the Statesboro community and region. I look forward to working with Darin and Netra Van Tassell and the entire Tormenta FC staff to achieve greater success.”
Cranford attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Philosophy. The Chapel Hill alumni not only comes with club experience but also spent time with the United Soccer League, working in the communications, public relations and social media departments for more than two years.
“Aaron has been on our radar since 2016 as one the real stars in American soccer since he joined the USL headquarters in Tampa,” Tormenta FC Owner Darin Van Tassell said. “Our franchise now has another first-class professional in our front office. His marketing acumen, earnest attention to detail and digital media talents place Tormenta FC with an amazing ability to tell our story to our fans and the global football community.”
Tormenta FC will open its second professional season against the defending 2019 USL League One champions North Texas SC in Erk Russell Park on March 28.
