STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC announced today that Nick Jaramillo will serve as the Head Coach of Tormenta FC Academy's U19 Boys for the upcoming South Atlantic Premier League campaign. Jaramillo will continue to serve as the goalkeeper coach for the club's professional USL League One side and the USL League Two team.
"The connection between the Academy and the first team is critical to the success of our overall program," TFC Academy Director of Operations Brad Nein said. "Nick brings this connection and will provide expertise in impacting our Academy players with knowledge that will allow them to reach their collegiate and professional goals."
Jaramillo joined Tormenta FC from Young Harris College in Georgia, where he worked for both the men's and women's programs.
He served three seasons as an assistant coach and keeper coach (2016, 2017, 2019) with the men's team at YHC, helping them to a 37-10-7 mark. They were named the Peach Belt Conference tournament champions in 2016, NCAA DII Men's Southeast Region champions in 2017, and Peach Belt Regular Season Champions in 2019.
Jaramillo has worked in the USL League Two as an Assistant Coach with experience at the Des Moines Menace, where they compiled a record of 11-1-3 with a national tournament appearance, Heartland Division championship, and USL Two regular season championship. Prior to the Menace, he was at Mississippi Brilla FC for three seasons, during which they compiled a record of 15-9-7 and a USL League Two (formerly PDL) Semifinals appearance and 2017 Southern Conference Championship.
Jaramillo holds an Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA and a National "C" License from the U.S. Soccer Federation.
