South Georgia Tormenta FC continues to provide high-quality competition for its Academy players, as the TFC 2007 Boys and TFC 2008 Boys have been invited to compete at the ECNL (Elite Clubs National League) South Carolina National Event from Dec. 11-13 in Greer, South Carolina.
"We are extremely excited about having our U13 and U14 Boys teams invited to participate in the ECNL National Event," TFC Academy Director of Operations Brad Nein said. "Our groups will be participating with and against some of the top teams in the nation, which will provide the necessary challenges for our boys to continue to grow and develop as individuals and teams. We are so appreciative of the ECNL as an organization to recognize Tormenta FC Academy as having the ability to compete in such a prestigious event."

The Tormenta FC U13 and U14 teams will compete against some of the best teams from across the U.S., including FC Alliance (Knoxville, Tennessee), FC Pride Soccer Club (Indianapolis, Indiana), South Carolina United (Columbia, South Carolina), South Carolina Surf (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) and Charlotte Independence SC (Charlotte, North Carolina).
Meanwhile, Tormenta FC becomes the second USL League One club to have teams compete in an ECNL event, with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC competing in the competition last year and this year. Additional high-caliber clubs have entered teams in the event, including Orlando City SC, North Carolina FC and Louisville City FC.
The invitation to compete in the ECNL event, alongside the new Academy team formed to compete in the USL Academy League in the spring of 2021, further demonstrates Tormenta FC becoming a premier youth organization in the Southeast.
