STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC and Effingham Force FC are excited to announce that starting in Fall 2021, the Effingham Force will become a branch of Tormenta FC Academy.
“Over the course of the last year, our affiliation with the Effingham Force Football Club has become an extremely positive relationship between both organizations,” TFC Academy VP of Operations Brad Nein said. “Providing players with more local training as well as playing opportunities when they may not have previously existed has been a benefit to members of both organizations. As organizations with like-minded aspirations, we have decided to further develop our affiliation to be a full partnership.
“Our partnership will lead to increased opportunities for youth players and coaches in the Effingham area as well as introduce the Tormenta FC professional soccer brand to the Effingham community. We are so excited to partner with the community of Effingham and look forward to many future years of success.”
Founded in 2016, Effingham Force FC began with 45 young athletes and a dream to provide an opportunity for all kids to play soccer and be exposed to more experiences. The Force has grown steadily since its founding and joined TFC Academy’s affiliation program in 2020 to expand opportunities for soccer players in Effingham. Now under the TFC Academy umbrella, the Effingham branch will offer a clear pathway for its local youth soccer community to reach the professional level.
Tormenta FC Academy is the only youth soccer club in South Georgia and the Low Country that features a direct path to a professional team. With programs specifically designed for various playing levels and to improve players season to season and year to year, TFC Academy has a program and a path for every youth player to help achieve their dreams.
