STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC has signed forward Clayton Adams to its 2021 USL League One squad on a one-year deal with a club option. Adams impressed at Tormenta FC’s tryouts in January and brings professional experience from Austin Bold FC in the USL Championship and Chattanooga FC in NISA.
"Clay is a player that was put on our radar and invited into the open tryout in January,” TFC Head Coach Ian Cameron said. “He showed exceptionally well that day and earned a contract. All the participants of the tryout deserve some credit for Clay's signing as they produced a standard from which the staff could fairly assess who can play at the USL League One level.
“Clay's journey as a player is different from a lot of other guys, and we believe our fans will cherish his story as much as they will love watching him create on the field. The staff feels privileged to get to work with Clay and look forward to seeing his stock grow over the next two seasons."
