STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 will host Dalton Red Wolves SC on Tuesday, May 25, with the match kicking off at 7 p.m. ET from Eagle Field at Erk Russell Park. Tormenta FC 2 goes into its third home match of the season and looks remain unbeaten in Statesboro for the season.
Tormenta FC’s second team started its run for the USL League Two title with a strong showing against Southern Soccer Academy Kings and Asheville City SC but stumbled against Charlotte Independence 2 on the road last week. Despite the early setback, the talented second squad looks to be a strong contender to once again. In 2019, TFC 2 won the Deep South Division and the Southern Conference championship.
Dalton, meanwhile, enters the match with the same 2-1-0 (W-L-D) record, having lost its season opener to East Atlanta FC before defeating Asheville and Independence 2.
League Two offers players the chance to hone in on crucial technical and tactical skills before making the leap to the professional level. Coach Morris hopes to create an environment for young guys to grow as players, as well as be recruited by the Tormenta FC’s League One team.
