STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 earned a late, dramatic victory from MOBA Soccer Stadium in Peachtree City, Georgia, on Friday, topping Peachtree City MOBA 2-1 to earn the first road win for the USL League Two team.
Alexis Ledoux scored the game-winning goal in the 92nd minute of play after Michael Hornsby completed a phenomenal run down the left wing and sent a great pass across the six-yard box.
Tormenta FC 2 recorded most of the quality scoring chances throughout the match, but Peachtree City tallied the first goal of the night in the 40th minute.
The South Georgia side would bounce back quickly, though, with a goal in the 51st minute. Owen Green hit a strong shot across the frame, and the ball deflected into the back of the net for an own goal.
With the result, TFC 2 now moves to 5-2-0 (W-L-T) in the Deep South Division and has now scored a goal in 18 consecutive USL League Two matches (regular season and League Two Playoffs included).
