STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 will face off against East Atlanta FC on Tuesday, June 15, at 8 p.m. ET at Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia.
The team looks for redemption after going down to the Atlanta side on the road a week ago. In the last matchup between the two sides, Alexis Ledoux tied up the match with an amazing second-half goal, but East Atlanta scored in the last minute to win the game.
This past weekend, Tormenta won its first road matchup of the 2021 USL League Two season 2-1 against Peachtree City MOBA. Ledoux, the young French talent, scored the game-winner in the 92nd minute, bringing his tally to four goals this season, and he’s hoping to continue his hot streak in Savannah tomorrow.
New signee Adam Luckhurst was a big asset last match against Peachtree City, helping to create scoring chances in the game and is sure to boost TFC 2’s offense versus East Atlanta.
Tormenta FC 2 has played a total of three matches all-time in Savannah, two games against rivals SC United Bantams at Calvary Day School Stadium and one friendly game against USL Championship side Charleston Battery at Optimist Field in Daffin Park. In past years, TFC 2 has a (1-1-1) (W-L-D) record playing in Savannah, and the team looks for another win tomorrow in its first-ever match at Benedictine Military School.
Following its Savannah home match, Tormenta FC 2 turns around to host rivals SC United Bantams at Erk Russell Park on Friday, June 18, at 8 p.m. ET. Fans should purchase their tickets, including season tickets, half-season plans or quarter-season plans, in advance.
