STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC Academy is excited to announce the hiring of Evan Parker as the Savannah Academy Technical Director. A native of Stafford, Virginia, Parker has had a successful coaching career at all levels including youth, high school and collegiate soccer.
"The players and families in Savannah are going to love working with Coach Evan as he creates a welcoming environment, where players will thrive as they work towards their individual and team goals," Tormenta FC Academy Vice-President Brad Nein said.
Over the last twelve years, Parker has lead youth soccer players in the Southeast to maximize their skill potential while falling in love with the game. With his background as a physical education teacher and credentials from the U.S. Soccer Federation, including the National “B” License and National Youth License, Parker is the ideal individual to coach and inspire Tormenta FC Academy players between the ages of eight and 12 with a focus on technical skill development in the Savannah area.

"I had the privilege of watching Evan get the first steps of his coaching career moving many years ago in Charleston. He is now tremendously experienced coach at all levels of the youth game and a top class developer of skillful soccer players. His energy and enthusiasm that he brings to the training environment fit perfectly with what we are trying to do with our program. This is an incredible hire for our club and I am excited to welcome Evan into the Tormenta family."
Parker will be creating future players that will thrive in the Tormenta FC organization that have the opportunity to play at the highest level in the region that includes play at USL W League, USL League One, USL League Two, MLS NEXT and USL Academy League.
