STATESBORO, Ga. – The South Georgia Tormenta FC Academy team created numerous goal-scoring opportunities at The Clubhouse Fields in Statesboro, Georgia, on Wednesday, but Southern Soccer Academy earned a 2-0 victory in USL Academy League action.
Chase Cooke, Jaiden Middleton, Grant Hampton and Cade Theobald were among the handful of Tormenta FC talents to create chances for the team, but a first-half penalty conversion and a second-half tally from inside the box were enough to hand the visiting side all three points.
The Tormenta FC Academy squad will take a break from action before returning to play on July 10 against Birmingham Legion.
