STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 has added French forward Hattabiou Barry to its USL League Two roster ahead of the team’s final two regular season matches and the 2021 playoffs.
"Hatta is a very technical and talented attacking player who is joining us following a successful college career with UCF,” TFC 2 Head Coach Tom Morris said. “He has been training with us for the last couple of weeks and not only has he shown us that he has the ability to create and execute in the final third, but also that he is an outstanding young man off the field. We are excited to have him join us as we approach the business end of the season."
In four seasons with the University of Central Florida, Barry started 66 out of 67 seven total appearances and recorded eight goals and nine assists. The forward also recorded 129 shots in four seasons with 44 on goal.
TFC 2 will face off against the Southern Soccer Academy Kings tonight at Marathon Park Soccer Complex in Austell, Georgia. Following Tuesday's match, the squad will hit the road again to meet the Dalton Red Wolves on Friday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET for their final regular season match of the 2021 USL League Two season. After a year without play in 2020, the team eagerly awaits its fight for the trophy once again. This will be the team’s third playoff run after claiming the Deep South Division in both 2018 and 2019 and being crowned Southern Conference champions in 2019.
