STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 has added forward Leroy Enzugusi to its 2021 USL League Two roster ahead of its upcoming playoff run. The Kenyan-American forward was drafted in 2021 by Nashville SC after a successful collegiate career with Drake University Men’s Soccer.
"We are glad that we've finally been able to bring Leroy to the club,” TFC 2 Head Coach Tom Morris said. “He's a player that we've tracked through the latter stages of his collegiate career and right through the draft process, in which he was drafted to Nashville SC.
“Leroy is a dynamic player with a lot of potential, and we are excited to work with him closely in USL League Two to see if he has what it takes to make the step up into our first team."
Enzugusi scored 23 goals in four seasons with the Bulldogs, leading his team in goals for three seasons in a row. The forward also recorded 146 shots and five game-winning goals.
After a year without USL League Two play, Tormenta FC 2 is eager to make its third playoff run in club history. Tormenta 2 is the reigning Southern Conference champion and hopes to repeat this in 2021. The squad heads to the Southern Conference Quarterfinals on Friday, June 16 with more details to be announced soon.
While the club’s second team battles for the USL League Two trophy, Tormenta FC’s USL League One side will play at home on Saturday, July 24 as they take on the Richmond Kickers for the second time this season.
