STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 has announced the four nominees for the Tormenta FC 2 Player of the Month award for July, and the community will decide the winner. Hattabiou Barry, Gabriel Cabral, Owen Green and Mohamed Redjeb are all up for the award after recording a 5-1-0 July record and run to the USL League Two Southern Conference Final.
Voting for the Tormenta FC 2 Player of the Month award will run through Sunday, Aug. 8, at 11:59 p.m. ET, with voting permitted once per day. The winner will be determined via a fan vote. The winner will be determined via a weighted vote from the following three voting bodies:
- A fan vote (poll below) will comprise 60 percent of the poll.
- The Tormenta FC staff ballots will comprise 20 percent of the poll.

Media ballots comprise 20 percent of the poll.
Voting results will be announced on Monday, Aug. 9.

Hattabiou Barry, Forward: Joining the USL League Two side late in the season, Barry proved to be an exciting talent up front, providing assists and creating numerous goal-scoring chances throughout the month of July. He also scored the game-winning goal against The Villages SC in the USL League Two Playoffs.
Gabriel Cabral, Midfielder: The Brazilian talent started the USL League Two season off hot and finished it the same way. In addition to creating numerous scoring chances, Cabral netted the game-winning goal against Southern Soccer Academy Kings on July 6 and a brilliant free kick against Dalton Red Wolves SC on July 9.
Owen Green, Defender: The talented wingback scored Tormenta FC 2's two fastest goals in club history during the month of July and created countless scoring opportunities for the team moving forward.
Mohamed Redjeb, Defender: The German center back and leader earns his second consecutive Player of the Month nomination after helping the club record two clean sheets, including one in the 2021 USL League Two Playoffs against Lionsbridge FC.
