STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 talents Gabriel Cabral, Alexis Ledoux and Drew Romig have been named to USL League Two's Southern Conference Team of the Year after stellar performances across the 2021 regular season.
A talented youngster, Ledoux proved his quality in the attack. When Tormenta FC 2 needed a late goal, the University of Charleston standout stepped up time and time again. The Frenchman finished the regular season with five goals and two assists.
STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 talents Gabriel Cabral, Alexis Ledoux and Drew Romig have been named to USL League Two’s Southern Conference Team of the Year after stellar performances across the 2021 regular season.
A talented youngster, Ledoux proved his quality in the attack. When Tormenta FC 2 needed a late goal, the University of Charleston standout stepped up time and time again. The Frenchman finished the regular season with five goals and two assists.
While Tormenta FC 2 showcased its strong offense throughout the year, Romig proved steadfast in goal. The Belmont University standout appeared in 11 games for the team, recording five clean sheets while making numerous big-time saves.
Like many on the Tormenta FC 2 roster, Cabral shined from start to finish, recording four goals and three assists to help lead the team to a third consecutive League Two Playoffs appearance.
Selections for the 2021 USL League Two Southern Conference Team of the Year were determined by peer voting. Each League Two club submitted a ballot for multiple players at each position, and the players receiving the most votes were named to the Team of the Year. All Team of the Year statistics are based on regular season performances.

The team has established itself as one of the premier League Two teams across the United States. In 2018, TFC 2 finished its season as champion of the Deep South Division. In 2019, TFC 2 repeated as Deep South Division champion and also won the League Two Southern Conference title, reaching the League Two Semifinals for the first time in club history. In 2021, Tormenta FC 2 finished the season with a 12-4-1 overall record (10-3-1 in the regular season), qualifying for the League Two Playoffs for a third straight season.
