STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 talents Gabriel Cabral and Drew Romig have been named to USL League Two's All-League Team of the Year after stellar performances across the 2021 regular season.
STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 talents Gabriel Cabral and Drew Romig have been named to USL League Two’s All-League Team of the Year after stellar performances across the 2021 regular season.
While Tormenta FC 2 showcased its strong offense throughout the year, Romig proved steadfast in goal. The Belmont University standout appeared in 11 games for the team, recording five clean sheets while making numerous big-time saves.
Like many on the Tormenta FC 2 roster, Cabral shined from start to finish, recording four goals and three assists to help lead the team to a third consecutive League Two Playoffs appearance.
Selections for the 2021 USL League Two Southern Conference Team of the Year were determined by peer voting. Each League Two club submitted a ballot for multiple players at each position, and the players receiving the most votes were named to the Team of the Year. All Team of the Year statistics are based on regular season performances.
