STATESBORO, Ga. – After a strong showing against New England Revolution II, South Georgia Tormenta FC talent Azaad Liadi has been named to USL League One's Cleer Audio Team of the Week for Week 22 of the regular season.
Liadi, who has now earned Team of the Week honors in consecutive weeks, scored the equalizing goal for Tormenta FC against on the road against New England.
Liadi joins Marco Micaletto as the only Tormenta FC players to earn Team of the Week honors four times in 2021, while Luca Mayr-Fälten has earned Team of the Week honors three times this season. Kobe Perez and Curtis Thorn have earned Team of the Week honors twice, while Stefan Mueller, defender Lars Eckenrode, goalkeeper Pablo Jara and midfielder Adrian Billhardt have earned Team of the Week honors once in the 2021 League One regular season.
Tormenta FC returns home to host North Texas SC at Erk Russell Park on Saturday, Sept. 11 for Hispanic Heritage Night before meeting Fort Lauderdale CF at its home turf on Sunday, Sept. 19.
