STATESBORO, Ga. – After a strong showing at DRV PNK Stadium against Fort Lauderdale CF, South Georgia Tormenta FC talent Marco Micaletto has been named to USL League One's Cleer Audio Team of the Week for Week 24 of the regular season.
Micaletto assisted the team's first goal and scored the second, while also recording an 80% passing accuracy and creating two scoring chances.
Micaletto becomes the first TFC player to earn Team of the Week honors five times in 2021, while Mayr-Fälten and Azaad Liadi haved earned Team of the Week honors four times. Kobe Perez and Curtis Thorn have earned Team of the Week honors twice, while Stefan Mueller, defender Lars Eckenrode, goalkeeper Pablo Jara and midfielder Adrian Billhardt have earned Team of the Week honors once in the 2021 League One regular season.
Tormenta FC now takes a two-week rest before hosting Union Omaha for its end-of-season finale at home and Bolt’s Birthday Bash on Friday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Fans should secure their seats early as this match will be Tormenta FC’s final regular-season match at Erk Russell Park before moving into its new stadium in 2022.
