From creating history on the pitch to showing up for the local community, the Tormenta FC Top 10 takes a trip down memory lane and showcases 10 staff-voted moments from around the club this year.
Tormenta FC gained incredible experience taking the pitch amongst world football stars like Josef Martinez and Ezequiel Barco in March 2021. The USL League One squad created history as it competed in a preseason scrimmage against Atlanta United FC, the club’s first-ever matchup with a Major League Soccer team.
The squad put up a strong showing and held Atlanta scoreless for 60 minutes. Notably, Tormenta FC Academy talents Brittian Gottlieb and Grant Hampton also saw minutes against the MLS side.
The boys went on to defeat CF Montreal 2-0 in April, their second MLS matchup in club history.

In July 2021, Tormenta FC 2 made its third historic USL League Two Playoffs run with no shortage of passion.

Lawrence celebrated in front of an electric stadium and traveling Tormenta FC fans in Newport News, Virginia. Tormenta FC 2 then defeated the Villages SC to advance and host the Southern Conference Final in Statesboro, Georgia.

Heading into the League Two season, University of Charleston (West Virginia) teammates Gabriel Cabral and Alexis Ledoux were already close, but during their time with Tormenta FC 2, the two created lifelong memories.
With Cabral now signed to the USL League One roster and Ledoux with several eligible collegiate years left, their time together at the club doesn’t have to end.
