STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC and ABC-affiliate station WJCL 22, which serves southeastern Georgia’s Coastal Empire and southern South Carolina’s Lowcountry, have announced a linear broadcast partnership for the 2022 USL League One season. As part of the partnership, WJCL affiliate station, MeTV, will air Tormenta FC’s home match live this Saturday, April 16, at 7 p.m. ET against defending League One champion Union Omaha.
WJCL 22 will air 14 additional Tormenta FC matches this season following WJCL 22 News at 11:00 on Saturday nights. Fans and followers in the Statesboro or Savannah market can watch the match on the following stations: WJCL (Over the air) – 22.1, Comcast – 4 | 431 | 1022, Darien Cable – 4, Pembroke – 22, Northland – 104, DISH – 22

2022 will be Tormenta FC and WJCL 22’s second year of partnership after the two organizations secured a historic deal in 2021 to air the club’s first-ever linear broadcast.
WJCL is Savannah’s ABC-affiliated television station, serving southeastern Georgia’s Coastal Empire and southern South Carolina’s Lowcountry. In addition to airing 14 Tormenta FC matches this season, WJCL 22 and TFC will also collaborate on additional sponsor integrations for the next year.

Tormenta FC is excited for a historic 2022 as it transitions from Erk Russell Park to Tormenta Stadium. Single-match tickets are now live for advance purchase ahead of Saturday’s match versus Union Omaha. Supporters can also purchase season memberships or Flex Ticket packages and guarantee their presence at every home match this season.
All Tormenta FC’s matches of the 2022 USL League One season will also be available nationwide via streaming on ESPN+ and internationally on YouTube.
