STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC travels to Arizona to take on FC Tucson at Kino North Stadium this Saturday, April 30, at 10 p.m. ET. After earning its first USL League One win last Saturday, Tormenta FC is on the hunt for another result and hopes to add a fifth clean sheet to the 2022 season.
“We have a young group that has been working hard. We did not play our desired game last Saturday, but we continue to develop and craft the team to compete against any team. Four clean sheets in a row against two USL Championship sides and two of the best USL League One teams in the past couple of years is something we are very proud of, and we hope to do the same next Saturday and bring back the fifth clean sheet of the season.”
Ian Cameron, Tormenta FC Head Coach
Tormenta FC faced Greenville Triumph SC last weekend and brought the three points home, earning a 2-0 victory at Legacy Early College. Tormenta FC is now undefeated in its last four encounters against the Triumph side.
In a nail-biting encounter, FC Tucson defeated the Chattanooga Red Wolves 3-2 last Saturday in Tennessee, earning its first win of the season.
Tormenta FC is excited for a historic 2022 as it transitions from Erk Russell Park to Tormenta Stadium. Single-match tickets are live for advance purchase ahead of Saturday’s match.
