STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC travels to Windsor, Colorado, to take on Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC for the first time in club history this Saturday, June 11, at 9 p.m. ET. Tormenta FC will look for all three points after three games without a win; South Georgia remains undefeated on the road in 2022.
Tormenta FC will complete its two-week road trip with its first visit to Colorado following a thrilling 2-2 draw against the Richmond Kickers last Saturday in Virginia. With three wins and three draws, a visit from Tormenta FC will never be an easy 90 minutes for any team. As a versatile and high-pressing team, South Georgia has the mentality of competing until the very last minute in every match.
Although injuries plagued South Georgia last week in Richmond, the team was able to earn a massive point in a rigid environment. Tormenta FC will now face a similar scenario this weekend as Northern Colorado will play its second game ever at home.
Northern Colorado has failed to keep a clean sheet through seven USL League One games since beginning play this season. Northern Colorado currently sits 10th in the league standings with two wins, three draws and two losses. Irvin Parra has been their primary goal scorer this year with four goals.
Following Saturday’s match, Tormenta FC will return to Erk Russell Park to take on Forward Madison on Sunday, June 19, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tormenta FC will celebrate and honor Juneteenth, with the theme night presented by Davis Bozeman Johnson Law.
