STATESBORO, Ga. – Following its first win at home, South Georgia Tormenta FC returns to Erk Russell Park to take on Greenville Triumph SC this Wednesday, July 13, at 7:30 p.m. ET. South Georgia seeks its second home win of the season against the USL League One leader. South Georgia strives to get its third consecutive win of the season to apply pressure on the Triumph and the Richmond Kickers. South Georgia is also looking for a fifth consecutive win against the Triumph, who seem to have no response to a dominant Tormenta FC side.
South Georgia’s start to the month of July has been a stride in the right direction: a win at Central Valley Fueo FC and a 2-1 win against Chattanooga helped it escalate the League One table quickly.
A pivotal part to South Georgia’s success has been Gabriel Cabral, who scored both game-winning goals in Tormenta FC’s recent victories. To add more fuel to a burning fire, South Georgia has not been beaten by the Triumph in over a year. Four consecutive wins later, the team looks to add its fifth win in a row before heading to Greenville in two weeks.
Tormenta FC is excited for a historic 2022 as it transitions from Erk Russell Park to Tormenta Stadium. Single-match tickets are live for advance purchase ahead of Saturday’s match. Supporters can also purchase season memberships or Flex Ticket packages to guarantee their presence at every home match this season.
Following Wednesday’s match, Tormenta FC will travel to Madison, Wisconsin, to take on Forward Madison next Saturday, July 16, at Breese Stevens Field, at 8 p.m. ET.
