STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC forwards Kingsford Adjei and Kazaiah Sterling were named to USL League One’s Team of the Week for Week 18 of the 2022 regular season. Sterling continues to be the man in form for South Georgia, scoring and assisting once, meanwhile Adjei’s goal quickly helped ease Tormenta FC to victory last Saturday night.
Adjei notched his fourth goal of the season in a 3-1 win over table-topping Triumph SC on Saturday. Adjei completed 100% of his 30 passes and won five of seven ground duels.
Sterling propelled South Georgia to an impressive win over Greenville with a one-goal, one-assist performance.
Following Saturday’s match, Tormenta FC will travel to Northern Colorado to take on the Colorado Hailstorm FC next Saturday, Aug. 6, at Severance High School, at 9 p.m. ET.
