South Georgia will host FC Tucson following a 3-1 win at home against Hailstorm FC. Kazaiah Sterling became the all-time leading regular season goalscorer for Tormenta FC following his first professional hat trick.
South Georgia looks for its eleventh win this season after obtaining its tenth win last week, achieving the double-digit mark for the first time in club history. Against FC Tucson this year, the Statesboro side obtained a victory on the road and fell to Tucson at home earlier this season.
South Georgia looks to end its stay at Erk Russell Park positively after being its home since the inaugural season in 2016. The team knows the pressure is ahead of its first game from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium on October 1 against the Richmond Kickers.
Sterling was the protagonist in Saturday’s victory with a hat trick in 75 minutes of action for the talented striker. Sterling becomes the second player in club history to score a hat trick for the League One side.
