STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC seeks to continue its journey to the playoffs this Saturday, Sept. 24, as it visits Forward Madison FC on Match Day 26 of the USL League One regular season. With four games left in the regular season, South Georgia controls its destiny as the team looks to clinch a playoff spot for the first time in club history.
South Georgia looks for its eleventh win this season after obtaining its tenth win at home against Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC, achieving the double-digit win mark in a single season for the first time in club history. Last week, Tormenta FC took on FC Tucson in the final Tormenta FC home game at Erk Russell Park. The Statesboro side obtained a 1-1 draw and now looks to add its eight wins on the road and its second win ever at Madison.
Madison is on a six-game winless streak, with its last win coming on Aug. 20 against Hailstorm FC. A 3-0 defeat at Central Valley Fuego FC has the Madison side in dire need of a win to keep its playoff aspirations alive.
Tormenta FC is excited for a historic 2022 as it transitions from Erk Russell Park to Tormenta Stadium. Single-match tickets are live for advance purchase ahead of the Oct. 1 match. Supporters can also purchase season memberships or Flex Ticket packages to guarantee their presence at every home match this season.
