STATESBORO. Ga. – Due to inclement weather caused by Hurricane Ian in the South Georgia region, South Georgia Tormenta FC, USL League One and the Richmond Kickers announced on Wednesday that the club’s match against the Richmond Kickers, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET, has been postponed.
The teams will now battle it out at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 2, from Statesboro, Georgia. All tickets already purchased for the match between Tormenta FC and Richmond Kickers will be honored on the new matchup date. Fans will be also able to watch the fixture exclusively on ESPN+.
The safety of fans, players, coaches, referees and staff is of the utmost priority when evaluating these situations, and both clubs and USL League One came to a collective agreement to not play the match at the scheduled time.
