PAPILLION, Neb. – Following an impressive victory against Forward Madison FC in Wisconsin, South Georgia Tormenta FC travels to Nebraska to take on Union Omaha for the second time this season on Saturday, July 29, at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Tormenta FC will be looking to earn its first-ever win against Omaha, as South Georgia has an all-time record of 0-5-3 (W-L-D) against its USL League One counterpart.
TFC enters the match on a high after recording a 4-1 road win against Madison on Wednesday. Notably, Kazaiah Sterling, Jackson Khoury, Matheus Cassini and Pablo Jara turned in fantastic shifts for South Georgia.
Overall, TFC has garnered a 3-1-0 record throughout the month of July, and Head Coach Ian Cameron would like nothing more than to cap off the excellent month with another point or three on road.
Omaha, meanwhile, enters the contest following a roller coaster of results during the month of July. Omaha is 3-2-0 this month, losing most recently to Lexington SC on the road 3-0.
With only one point separating both sides in the League One standings, a win for either side will prove crucial as the regular season enters the final stretch of the campaign.
Following Saturday’s match, Tormenta FC will travel back home to prepare for an important clash against North Carolina FC from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium in Statesboro, Georgia, on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN+).
