STATESBORO, Ga. – May 9, 2024 – South Georgia Tormenta FC’s match against Forward Madison has been moved up to 3:00 p.m. EST on June 15 at Breese Stevens Field is slated for broadcast on ESPN2, rather than the typical ESPN+ streaming platform. Moving the match to ESPN2 will both amplify and elevate the presence of the match. This match will be just the fourth league match in USL League One history to receive a national broadcast slot.
“It is our honor to have the opportunity to represent USL League One and South Georgia on ESPN2,” President and Co-owner of Tormenta FC Darin Van Tassell said. “All ESPN affiliated platforms are a wonderful chance to get eyes on our great sport, but to be just the fourth USL League One match broadcasted nationally is so meaningful to us.”
