Continue Developing this Spring
Continue training with Tormenta FC Academy this spring in an environment that will push you to further become the best player you can be. We will focus are training on the following aspects of soccer excellence which include:
- Technique – ball control, dribbling skills, passing accuracy, striking on goal, body control
- Game Intelligence – spatial awareness, tactical knowledge, risk assessment
- Proper Mindset – composure, mental strength, coachability, self-motivation
We are accepting boys born between the years of 2003 and 2007 to participate in this program. You can train in our spring program and participate with your high school team.
Training Details
We have organized our training opportunity so that the players will be able to successfully participate in their high school season. The training locations include:
- Wednesday – Effingham – Sand Hill Park – 6:00-7:30
- Thursday – Hardeeville – 6:30-8:00
- Sunday – Hardeeville – 2:00-3:30
Players select the best session for them to attend during the week. All players attend the Sunday session. Training will begin the week of January 31st and conclude the week of May 1st.
The registration fee for program participation is $450.
Coaching Details
Leading the training sessions will be Tormenta FC Academy NPL ’05 and ’06 Coach Bert Leonard. Leonard holds a USSF “A” License and USSF National Youth License. Leonard has worked extensively with youth players in the southeast in his role as Assistant Director of the Region III Olympic Development Program as well as leading the Tennessee United Boys 2003 Elite team to become State Cup Champions.
In addition to coaching high-level soccer, he is an expert video analyst, working with the United States Women’s National Team, MLS side Nashville FC, NASL side Atlanta Silverbacks and Cyprus side Nea Salamina.
