STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC’s USL Academy girls team took on the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC today from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium in Statesboro, Georgia, where South Georgia were defeated 2-0. The match showcased the young local talent around South Georgia and the Low Country of South Carolina. Despite a valiant effort, the team fell short against a formidable, strong visiting team that were clinical in the team’s opportunities on goal.
Tormenta FC had several opportunities on goal as the home side tried to get its first goal of the night. Two shots were on target today with one opportunity hitting the crossbar nearing the sart of the second half.
Tormenta FC’s USL Academy girls team is set to take on Southern Soccer Academy from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium this Sunday, June 4, at 2 p.m. ET.
