After a long three-game matchweek, Tormenta FC returns to USL W League play, ready to bounce back into the action. This time around, the Ibis will host NC Courage U23 at Tormenta Stadium on Wednesday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m.
South Georgia has previously faced NC Courage in a match that ended 3-1 for the incoming visitors. Since then, NC Courage has played three more matches, winning them all. On the other hand, Tormenta has played in five more fixtures since their last encounter with the Courage, winning three and losing two. As a result, the Ibis finds itself in second place in the South Atlantic division standings, with NC Courage U23 just above in first place.
French forward Mady Soumare has not only impressed for Tormenta but also for the league’s South Atlantic division. Soumare currently holds the lead in the division’s goalscoring leaderboard with four goals. NC Courage midfielder, Grace Ivey, sits just below in second place with three. Additionally, Ghanaian forward Constance Agyemang holds the record for the second-most goals (2) for the Ibis at this point in the season. Soumare, Agyemang, and the rest of the squad go into the next match ready to claim three more points for South Georgia.
