STATESBORO, Ga. – Forward Arthur Bosua has been named the South Georgia Tormenta FC Player of the Month for April following exceptional offensive performances throughout six USL League One and U.S. Open Cup matches.
The New York native led Tormenta FC’s offense in April with two goals and an assist. The 6-foot-3 forward scored a game-winning goal in the Second Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup versus his former team, the Charleston Battery, on April 7. On April 24, Bosua recorded both a goal and an assist on the road against regional rival Greenville Triumph SC. The forward also leads the team in USL League One shots with 13.
Bosua earned 34.22% of the total vote, edging out defender Joshua Phelps, who earned 30.50%. Defenders Jake Dengler and Curtis Thorn collected 15.06% and 10.22% of the total votes, respectively. The winner was determined via a weighted average from the following three voting bodies:
- A fan vote (results here) comprised of 60 percent of the poll.
- The Tormenta FC staff ballots comprised 20 percent of the poll.
- Media ballots comprised of 20 percent of the poll.

Bosua and the Tormenta FC squad will battle the Charlotte Independence this Saturday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Erk Russell Park with advance tickets on sale now. Then, on Tuesday, May 10, Tormenta FC enters the Fourth Round of the U.S. Open Cup to take on MLS-side Inter Miami CF in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
