Tormenta 2 Continues Undefeated Streak
Draws to Dalton Red Wolves At Home
Tormenta FC 2 played Dalton Red Wolves tonight in Erk Russell Park and faced adversity for the first time this season. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, both teams walking away with a point.
After three clean sheets so far, Tormenta 2 conceded its first goal of the regular season in the thirty-sixth minute. Dalton’s Nick Akoto was able to secure a goal off of a free kick after a Tormenta foul. Tormenta 2 went into halftime a point behind for the first time this season.
In the second half, Adrian Billhardt helped Tormenta 2 come back from behind to tie it up in the sixty-sixth off of a penalty kick in Dalton’s box. Tormenta 2 continued to attack and dominated play throughout the second half but wasn’t able to follow through on their many chances to steal the lead.
The team now travels to Columbia, South Carolina to play SC United Bantams who are currently on top of the Deep South standings with sixteen points in four matches.
