
STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 has announced the four nominees for the Tormenta FC 2 Player of the Month award for June, and the community will decide the winner.
Alexis Ledoux, Mo Redjeb, Gabriel Rodriguez and Drew Romig are all up for the award after recording a 4-2-1 June record and clinching a spot in the 2021 USL League Two playoffs.
Voting for the Tormenta FC Player of the Month award will run through Monday, July 12, at 11:59 p.m. ET, with voting permitted once per day. The winner will be determined via a weighted vote from the following three voting bodies:
- A fan vote (poll below) will comprise 60 percent of the poll.
- The Tormenta FC staff ballots will comprise 20 percent of the poll.

Media ballots comprise 20 percent of the poll.
Voting results will be announced on Tuesday, July 13.

Alexis Ledoux, Midfielder: The young, French goal-scorer was named Man of the Match three times in the month of June for his game-changing performances. On June 12, Ledoux scored a game-winning goal versus Peachtree City MOBA to secure the team’s first road win of the season. Ledoux also converted a penalty against East Atlanta FC on June 8 and scored a late-match goal versus SC United Bantams on June 18.
Ledoux continues to impress by creating scoring opportunities, relieving pressure and making defensive tackles and steals.
Mohamed Redjeb, Defender: The German center back and leader, Mo Redjeb, stepped up from the backline this month to score two important goals in consecutive matches. On June 22, Redjeb scored his first goal of the 2021 USL League Two season off a corner kick from Michael Hornsby, who expertly found the center back. Then on June 29, Redjeb capitalized off a corner kick to score the team’s first goal of the night.
Additionally, Redjeb continued to shine defensively, helping the team secure four clean sheets.
Gabriel Rodriguez, Forward: The Colombian attacker currently leads the team with six goals, two of which were in the month of June. Rodriguez scored a header on June 18 versus the Bantams, as well as a graceful penalty goal on the road June 22 against Charlotte Independence.
Rodriguez has also recorded six shots in four appearances.
Drew Romig, Goalkeeper: Drew Romig stepped up big throughout June and made numerous important saves to secure four clean sheets and four wins for Tormenta FC 2.
Romig was nominated for USL League Two Save of the Week for Week 8 after his big performance on the road against Charlotte Independence. The 6-foot-1 goalkeeper made a diving save to his left to prevent Charlotte’s curling shot from entering the back of his net.
