STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC’s USL W League team took on Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves SC tonight at CHI Memorial Stadium, falling with a final score of 0-1.
In the 15th minute, goalkeeper Sydney Martinez made a massive save to deny the hosts from opening the scoring. Martinez and her backline continued to hold off pressure from the Red Wolves beautifully.
After thirty minutes of opportunities from both sides, Chattanooga found the back of the net and took the lead.
Tormenta FC continued pressuring throughout the second half, looking for an equalizer but was unable to find a goal, and the match ended with a final score of 0-1 with the hosts taking all three points.
