STATESBORO, Ga. – The USL W League announced today the quarter-final pairings of the inaugural USL W League Playoffs, pairing South Georgia Tormenta FC with FC Miami City at Tropical Park Stadium. Tormenta FC will battle the undefeated FC Miami City on Wednesday, July 13, at 6 p.m. ET, with the match broadcasted nationally on Eleven Sports.
Tormenta FC enters the inaugural W League Playoffs after winning the South Central Division. An 8-0 win on Sunday against the SC United Bantams saw the team clinch the playoffs in its first year competing in the W League. Forward Amy Andrew’s impressive regular season saw her finish with sixteen goals in ten games played. In regular-season play, Tormenta FC ended with a record of 7-1-4 (W-L-D).
FC Miami City closed its regular season as the winner of the Southeast Division, finishing the season undefeated. FC Miami City defeated Caledonia SC 0-2 in its last game of the regular season after clinching the playoffs a couple of weeks before the season ended. In regular-season play, FC Miami City ended with a record of 10-0-1 (W-L-D)
