STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC takes on Chattanooga Red Wolves SC this Saturday, August 20, at CHI Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET. For the second time this season, Tormenta FC takes on the Red Wolves SC, with the first encounter favoring South Georgia after a 2-1 win at home.
South Georgia looks to get back on track after a superb month of July. With two losses in the first two encounters of the month, South Georgia now faces a Red Wolves SC team that is currently unbeaten in six games — the team’s last defeat was against Tormenta FC.
Last week, Tormenta FC was unable to get a win against the Charlotte Independence at home. However, South Georgia recovered most of its injured players and now has a deeper roster ahead of its game in Chattanooga.
The Red Wolves SC come into the matchup seeking a win against Tormenta FC to even up the series between both teams. Both teams will face each other one final time in the regular season at Tormenta Stadium on the last day of the regular season.
Last Wednesday, Tormenta FC announced its intention to play its first game from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium on October 1, 2022, now that phase one is near completion of the state-of-the-art development. To ensure the best fan experience at Tormenta Stadium’s inaugural USL League One game against the Richmond Kickers, the club will limit the capacity of the venue. Therefore, the club encourages fans to purchase tickets before the event.
Tormenta FC is excited for a historic 2022 as it transitions from Erk Russell Park to Tormenta Stadium. Single-match tickets are live for advance purchase ahead of Saturday’s match. Supporters can also purchase season memberships or Flex Ticket packages to guarantee their presence at every home match this season.
