STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC midfielder Kingsford Adjei was named to USL League One’s Team of the Week for Week 29 of the 2022 regular season. The South Georgia midfielder scored his seventh goal of the season in Saturday’s 2-0 home win against the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
Completing his first full professional regular season, the No. 1 2021 USL League Two Top Prospect’s seventh goal of the season served as the score that sent Tormenta FC to the postseason for the first time in club history. Adjei also assisted in Ryan Sierakowski’s first goal of the season.
Following its second game at Tormenta Stadium, Tormenta FC will host its first-ever playoff game in professional franchise history next Saturday, Oct. 22, from Tormenta Stadium at 7 p.m. ET. Tormenta FC will host the Charlotte Independence in the USL League One quarterfinals, presented by Hisense.
