STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC midfielder Jackson Khoury was voted the South Georgia Tormenta FC Player of the Month (USL League One) for April. Khoury featured twice in the USL League One Team of the Week during the month. Khoury led the team in most minutes played in April after featuring in every single minute of every game played in League play.
The winner was determined via a weighted average from the following three voting bodies:
- A fan vote comprised 60 percent of the poll.
- The Tormenta FC staff ballots comprised 20 percent of the poll.
- Media ballots comprised 20 percent of the poll.
Khoury earned 75.23% of the total vote, with defender Davey Mason coming in second with 13.21%. Midfielders Tobias Otieno and Mukwelle Akale followed at 7.15% and 4.39%, respectively.

April 2023 has been a breakthrough month for the first-year professional. Khoury has showcased remarkable growth by scoring his first three professional goals in three consecutive games against Triumph SC, Lexington SC and One Knox SC. Khoury’s ability to create opportunities is evident through precise crosses into the dangerous areas.

Following Friday’s match, Tormenta FC is set for a bye week before going on the road, taking on Central Valley Fuego FC on Saturday, May 20, at 10 p.m. ET from Fresno State Soccer Stadium for the first time this season.
