STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC will be traveling to Charlotte for Saturday’s game against the Charlotte Independence. The match will kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET at American Legion Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 14. (ESPN+)
The Week 31 matchup will be the third matchup between South Georgia and Charlotte this season. Charlotte currently sits fourth in the league and leads the season series.

Tormenta FC enters the game with a 12-14-5 (W-L-D) overall record coming off of a 4-0 defeat to Union Omaha. Kazaiah Sterling and Mukwelle Akale will be hoping to increase their double-digit goal tally this weekend to propel South Georgia into the final playoff spot. Tormenta can secure the No. 6 seed in post season play with a win over Charlotte and a Forward Madison draw or loss to Union Omaha.
Meanwhile, Charlotte enters the match with a 13-9-9 (W-L-D) overall record, following a 4-1 defeat from Union Omaha on Oct. 4. Charlotte has only picked up two wins in their last seven games and will be hoping to find their form entering the playoffs. Charlotte has already clinched a spot in the USL League One Playoffs, but Saturday will decide whether they will be at home or on the road against the Greenville Triumph.
