STATESBORO, Ga. (December 16, 2023) We are happy to announce the signing of Argentinian-American Left Back, Aaron Lombardi as a free agent. The 27-year-old joins the club after two seasons with the Chattanooga Red Wolves where he made 57 appearances, scored two goals and provided four assists. Last season, Lombardi made 31 clearances and completed 21 tackles with a 60% tackle success rate.

Lombardi joined Chattanooga after playing for several Serie D clubs over the course of a two and a half year period. He began at Fossacesia before he moved to Agonese and later joined Lanciano. Lombardi completed a second tenure at Fossacesia before his return to the United States.
Prior to his move to Italy, Lombardi was a part of Orange County FC during summer of 2019 and spent the summer of 2018 playing for San Francisco City FC in USL League Two.
Lombardi attended the University of San Francisco where he was a member of the men’s soccer team from 2014 to 2017. While playing for the Dons, he made 57 appearances, scored 11 goals and assisted 19 times. Lombardi grew up training in the LA Galaxy academy prior to attending the University of San Francisco.
Head coach Ian Cameron spoke highly of his newest signing saying, “Having played against Aaron these past two seasons, he’s always been flagged by our staff as someone we’d love to have here at Tormenta, so we’re delighted to have that opportunity this coming season.” Cameron continued, “Our interpretation of the outside back position is someone who is physical, competitive, but also has footballing IQ in build positions and final third execution. We believe he possesses those characteristic and can develop into an elite left back with us. He also shapes up well in the character department and will add leadership qualities in how he trains and applies himself each day.”
“I am looking forward to playing in front of the fans and helping this club win another championship. At the end of the day it’s what everyone wants,” Lombardi said about why he chose to join Tormenta. “I’ve had great conversations with coach Ian, he played a huge role in my decision to come here. I like the work he’s been doing at this club, his vision and the way he wants this team to play.”
Aaron concluded his statement adding, “Lastly, I’m very thankful to the organization for providing me with this new challenge and allowing me to continue doing what I love.”
Tormenta FC fans can secure their seats at the new Tormenta Stadium ahead of 2024, with Season Tickets now available for purchase.
