STATESBORO, Ga. – August 12, 2024 – For the first time in the 2024 campaign, South Georgia Tormenta FC will take on Northern Colorado Hailstorm in regular season play at Tormenta Stadium.

Recipe Review
South Georgia enters this matchup after a nail-biting faceoff with Richmond Kickers, where the Kickers narrowly beat out Tormenta during penalty kicks following a 1-1 draw. Northern Colorado Hailstorm enters the match following a 3-1 win against the Richmond Kickers. Hailstorm will have one last match to play on Tuesday, August 13 against Spokane Velocity prior to entering Saturday’s match.
Key Ingredients
Tormenta’s Daniel Steedman has become a staple to the midfield, working to prevent attacking plays and press the ball forward to provide scoring opportunities for attackers. Steedman provided one assist in August against Spokane Velocity.
Alsadiq Hasan, a first year professional, has seen a stark uptick in starts in the back-half of the season. His keen eye for defensive plays has made him an integral piece to Head Coach Ian Cameron’s game strategy.
Foe’s Formula
Hailstorms’ leading goalscorer Bruno Rendon is a formidable opponent to backlines and goalkeepers alike. Tormenta will look to block any scoring attempts from Rendon.
