After a gritty battle on the road last weekend, USL League One action returns to South Georgia as Tormenta FC hosts newcomers Portland Hearts of Pine for the first time at Tormenta Stadium on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
After a hard-fought draw against the Chattanooga Red Wolves, the Ibis aim to collect all three points at home against Maine’s new USL team.
Midfielder Mason Tunbridge, who was just named to the USL League One Team of the Week for the second time this season, will look to keep his scoring form going after netting his third goal of 2025 last Saturday. Meanwhile, defender Anatolie Prepelita returns to the squad after receiving a red card against Union Omaha and sitting out last weekend. With Jackson Kasanzu and Prepelita tied for the team lead in clearances (26 each), Tormenta’s defensive prowess on the backline could be a challenge for Portland to penetrate.
Saturday’s match also marks the club’s first theme night of the 2025 season. Tormenta FC will be hosting Masters Night, where fans can enjoy the Masters’ signature drink, “the Azalea” and test their mini-putting skills to the test in the premium Nest Area.
