South Georgia Tormenta FC welcomes seven new players to its 2025 USL W League roster, bolstering its goalkeeping corps and defensive unit ahead of the season opener on Saturday, May 17, against North Carolina Fusion.
New roster additions include:
- Goalkeeper Madison Vukas – University of North Alabama
- Goalkeeper Marissa Read – Stony Brook University
- Defender Delaney Evers – Charleston Southern University
- Defender Olivia Golden – Georgia Southern University
- Defender Samantha Sharrocks – Jacksonville University
- Defender Ida Marhaug – University of Charleston
- Defender Delinda Sehlin – Florida International University
Goalkeeper Madison Vukas brings a strong presence in goal, most recently competing in the ASUN Conference with North Alabama. Previously, Vukas played for Bowling Green State University where, in the 2024 season, she recorded four shutouts and an 80.5 save percentage.
Marissa Read joins Tormenta FC’s goalkeeping ranks from Stony Brook University in New York. Read previously suited up for Racing Louisville’s USL W League squad. Her Division I and W League experience add depth to Tormenta’s goalkeeper unit.
Defender Delaney Evers brings experience and skill to Tormenta’s backline from Charleston Southern, where she was a consistent starter. In 2024, she logged 15 starts and contributed two assists, a valuable attacking option from the back line.
Coming from Tormenta’s backyard, Georgia Southern defender Olivia Golden will remain in Statesboro this summer to boost the club’s backline. Golden started all 14 games for Georgia Southern in 2024, clocking in two shots on goal and an assist in a match against Mercer University.
Jacksonville University defender Samantha Sharrocks brings various levels of experience to the Ibis’ defense. Before joining Jacksonville, Sharrocks played for Sheffield United Women’s first team, making appearances against the likes of Watford, Burnley, and Middlesbrough.
Norwegian defender Ida Marhaug joins Tormenta from the University of Charleston, where she started all 22 games in the 2024 season. In that time, she registered three shots on target and scored one goal for the Golden Eagles.
Defender Delinda Sehlin started 17 games for Florida International University in 2024, garnering two assists and three shots on goal. With the help of her defensive efforts, Selhin helped FIU win both the CUSA Regular Season Champion and Tournament Champion titles.
Tormenta FC opens the 2025 USL W League season on the road on Saturday, May 17, and will host its home opener at Tormenta Stadium on Wednesday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m. with tickets available here.
